I am a Registered Dietitian (RD), Licensed Nutritionist, and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).
I first became interested in nutrition while running track in junior high. Unfortunately, that interest became an obsession that led to a struggle with food that lasted through my 20's. Having gone through that struggle, I understand the challenges one faces when trying to heal their relationship with food and it is one of the main reasons I decided to start my own practice.
I have a bachelors degree in Health and Human Development with an emphasis in food and nutrition from Montana State University and I completed my dietetic internship at Idaho State University.
I have been practicing as a dietitian for over 15 years. I spent the first 10 years of my career working at different hospitals and medical facilities in and around Austin, Texas where I gained extensive experience working with patients diagnosed with various medical conditions.
In 2019, I returned to my home state of Montana to work at an eating disorder clinic. I very quickly fell in love with the work and finally felt like I found my true calling as an eating disorder dietitian.
I have experience working with clients at the PHP, IOP, and outpatient levels of care and I am very familiar with helping clients transition back into their normal lives following more intensive treatment.
As a dietitian, I operate using the Health at Every Size® framework. I utilize the five HAES® principals during my nutrition counseling sessions which include weight inclusivity, health enhancement, respectful care, eating for wellbeing, and life enhancing movement. I provide individualized, compassionate care and believe with the right support, anyone can health their relationship with food.
I have many interests outside of nutrition including traveling, gardening, reading, and spending time in the outdoors with my husband and our two dogs.
